Transpac Managers recently covered a drilling operation that a customer was completing in New Mexico.
The customer initially planned to TD the well at 20,000 ft, but the tools stuck at around 13,000 TMD when they experienced tight hole conditions and then a loss of pressure.
The drillpipe severed above the BHA, and after unsuccessful fishing attempts, the entire BHA was left downhole.
Transpac Managers paid the claim of $540,000.
